After a rewarding career of drawing math equations and graphing the XY-axis on a messy black chalkboard, I am drawn to slightly smudged black-and-white contrast. I love the history of lines that are still visible after being erased. This is called pentimenti, which is simply changes made by the person yielding the brush!
