Long Island
This painting also developed from spilled ink but no longer accidentally spilled. I intentionally dripped the ink and then started finding the shapes, rerouting, or covering up parts of the grid with a more colorful palette along with the muted colors. I have always loved going to NYC and walking to art museums and shops. I would walk miles and not even realize how far I had gone or how long I had walked. This is my version of Long Island.
Oil, 18” x 18”
