City Center
This painting developed from spilled ink but no longer accidentally spilled. I intentionally dripped the ink and then started finding the shapes, rerouting, or covering up parts of the grid with a more muted palette. This birds-eye view led me to think about a small town, historical squares with the courthouse in the center, and quaint shops and restaurants surrounding it. You must use your imagination also!
Oil, 18” x 18”
