In addition, studies demonstrate that Arts exposure can improve a teenager’s confidence and academic performance. Art can move, heal, inspire, and connect people. Art is an important part of our kid’s lives."

According to Colin McGrane, Plano ISD Visual Arts Coordinator, K-12, "The AP Senior Exhibition is a longstanding partnership between The Art Centre of Plano and Plano Independent School District. The goal of this program has been to provide Advanced Placement (AP) Studio Art Seniors a real world, gallery experience to showcase their voice and individuality via their artwork. Each senior enters a single piece that, when combined with others across the district, is always an awe-inspiring show. From drawing and painting to 3D printing and digital media, we always remark how each year the show gets better and better. It is a testament to our fantastic art education staff in Plano ISD and their connection and dedication to growing our present and future artists. We are thankful for our partnership with The Art Centre, our participating sponsors, Texas Health Plano, and The Plano community for continuing to help provide such a special program.”
